ABOUT ME

I’m Emely, a wedding and editorial photographer based between Lyon, France and Bristol, UK, working across Europe and beyond.
My work is deeply rooted in art, fashion, and feeling, where considered composition meets genuine connection.
My style is a blend of textural detail, intentional framing, and soft emotion, informed by years of experience shooting both film and digital, always focusing on elegance and refinement. Every image is composed with care, edited with precision, and created with longevity in mind.
I studied photography at university, where I discovered my love for image-making. I’ve always been drawn to creativity, as someone who’s dyslexic, I naturally think outside the box, and photography became my way of visually translating the world with purpose and emotion.
People describe me as calm, observant, and quietly present, a steady hand on emotional days. Whether I’m capturing an intimate elopement or a celebration full of grandeur, my approach stays the same: elevated, emotional, and artfully honest.
I’m passionate about sustainability, about working consciously and creatively, and about telling stories without limitation. I proudly work with a diverse client base, never boxing myself into one type of shoot or style.
HOW IT STARTED
Before weddings, I worked on a wide range of commercial and editorial projects and commissions, from jewellery campaigns and fashion shoots to social media work for hotels and coffee shops.
These shoots sharpened my eye for styling, composition, and detail, and continue to influence how I photograph weddings.
I bring the same editorial sensibility, textural detail, and refined perspective into every love story I document.
Alongside my client work, I remain deeply passionate about sustainability and conscious creation.
'REFAIT' is a personal project exploring sustainable fashion through 5 unique clothing alterations, from up-cycling tights to darning, Sashiko, and crochet. Presented as a series of bold posters, the project challenges fast fashion by celebrating thoughtful, resourceful craftsmanship.
Through this visual series, I aim to encourage more ethical choices in how we create, wear, and value our clothing, and remind us that beauty and sustainability can exist hand-in-hand.
Whether I'm working on a wedding, a personal project, or a brand commission, my process is guided by care, curiosity, and an editorial eye, always aiming to create something beautiful, honest, and enduring.
Though weddings are at the heart of my work, I still take on a limited number of editorial, fashion, and lifestyle projects, especially those that align with my creative ethos. These commissions keep me inspired, sharpen my eye for styling, composition, and emotion, and continually enable me to evolve as a Photographer, all of which I carry into my wedding work.
